Tri-State Conference

“Truth or Blarney – Separating Fact from Fiction”

On Friday, March 10, 2006 over 100 members of the Connecticut, Eastern Massachusetts, and Rhode Island Chapters participated in a one-day conference in Newport, Rhode Island; many stayed for Saturday’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.

We were very fortunate to have as our Keynote Speaker world renowned forensic scientist, Dr. Henry Lee whose highly engaging presentation inspired us to set a standard of excellence and integrity in getting to the truth.

Our day was filled with excellent presentations on topics such as conducting internal investigations, workplace violence prevention, drug and alcohol testing, new legal developments, knowledge management, human resources information systems, and how to influence events in your organization.  We are truly indebted to our excellent speakers and presenters who traveled from all over the Northeast to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with us.

We received highly favorable evaluations of the day.  As one participant wrote:  “Usually a conference in Newport is an excuse to duck out of a session or two in order to explore, but not this time.  I wish it was a two-day conference so I could have attended some of the sessions I missed”.
