Sandra Biloon Memorial Scholarship

The Connecticut Chapter wishes to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Sandra Biloon Memorial Scholarship. The Chapter will be offering one $500 meritorious scholarship to either a current member or the child of a current member in 2012. All degree majors are eligible and you may choose to apply the award to the cost of tuition or books.

The Scholarship Committee is looking forward to receiving your or, your child's, scholarship application!

Eligibility:

Must be an active member of the Connecticut Chapter of IPMA-HR, or an active member's child, as of January 13, 2012;
Must be attending a 2-year or 4-year accredited College or University, or participating in a Master's degree program (this last option is limited to IPMA-HR members only) at an accredited College or University for the 2012-2013 school year;
Must not have previously received a Connecticut Chapter, IPMA-HR, scholarship award

Application: Please use the link below to download an application. Applications must include the following to qualify for consideration:

Academic Achievement
- High school students must supply a copy of your high school transcript along with a copy of your SAT and/or ACT scores.
- College students attending an accredited college or university must provide a copy of your grades for each year.
Two letters of recommendation:
- If a child of a member include recommendations from teachers and/or professors.
- If an IPMA-HR CT Chapter member include one recommendation from a supervisor and one from a co-worker or a professor.
A 500-word essay on the reasons you feel you should be awarded this scholarship. As part of the essay, briefly include your career goals and:
- If a child of a member, the extent of your community service and extracurricular activities.
- If an IPMA-HR CT Chapter member, your professional associations, activities and achievements.

Application Deadline: Must be postmarked or emailed by March 12, 2012
